Custom Group Safaris

SAS Safaris is dedicated to the best possible wildlife viewing and photographic safari experiences

Memories of your experiences with an SAS Safari will stay with you forever.

Our aim to is enhance your total stay in Tanzania by providing comfortable vehicles with English speaking drivers, the best accommodation in each park whether in lodges, tented camps or luxury tented camps, intense game viewing/photographic opportunities, a mouth watering variety of food and a commitment to each group's individual needs from arrival to departure.

Customizing a tour for you or your group is our specialty

We can arrange both luxury accommodations or a more economical trip. The luxury tour includes top-end lodges and catered comfort with the splendor of being in the bush in a five star tented camp complete with flush toilet, shower and four poster beds draped with mosquito netting. On the more economical side, we supply a budget tented safari complete with camp staff, total food catering, comfortable campgrounds, tents and sleeping bags with mattress pads, clean toilets and showers. There is no compromise with game viewing/photographic opportunities on the budget tour. Our safaris vary from bird watching to game viewing/photography to cultural experiences.

We can customize a safari for birdwatchers, wildlife photographers or people interested in seeing all aspects of Tanzania, including cultural experiences and archeological sites.

You ride in new open top stretch safari vehicles, each with refrigerator. One has two rows behind the driver with five person capacity. The other has three rows behind the driver with seven person capacity. Each vehicle has a hatch for the passenger on the driver row to see and photograph out of the top. More vehicles would be available for larger groups.

Our most common Tanzanian destinations include Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu, Serengeti, Selous, Mikumi, Ruaha. We also offer Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru climbs. To see some snaps from our safaris, please try looking through the images below -

Deo and Cheeta friendDeo Sawaki Mmbando, a native Tanzanian, was educated as an accountant and worked in the banking industry for 6 years. After 10 years experience as a driver guide and 8 years experience as a head driver, both with a large safari company, Deo decided to leverage his love of business and African wildlife by founding a charter safari company, Sawaki and Summer Safaris. Deo's prior guide-driving experience gave him intimate knowledge of Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Conservation Area including the Crater and Ndutu, Selous Reserve, Ruaha, and Mikumi National Park. He has guided world-class wildlife photographers and ornithologists through his beloved countryside.
